Melissa Drury McLane, 53, of Covington, KY, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 peacefully at her home. She was born on February 6, 1969 in Memphis, TN, to Foster Raymond Drury and Marilyn Rae Drury. Melissa was an incredibly loving person who was a friend to many. She was a devoted wife and caring mother to her children, and Lolli to her grandchildren. She loved the lake and cherished all of the memories shared with those there. To her family, she was the glue that held everyone together. Her greatest joy was her family, and every time she was with them was her happiest time. To her friends, Melissa was a loyal confidant, shoulder to lean on, and the smile needed on difficult days. She was always finding a way to share her generosity with others, and her faith was constant and strong, carrying her through whatever life brought.
Melissa was preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by her husband, Brian McLane, children Jake Fraiture (Cori Fraiture), Jessica Cable (Garrett Cable), Tyler Fraiture, her step-children Courtney Mize (Tyler Mize) and Reiley Harris (Cory Harris), and her 4 grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jet, Jax and John Walker, her step-mother Patricia Drury, and her father- and mother-in-law John and Karen McLane. Melissa also leaves behind her special sister, Meredith Drury Murphy. Her memory lives on through several aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces, and cousins as well. Melissa shined as a mother and a wife. Melissa left a huge impact on the number of friends she has made over the years. To those countless friends that have been by her side through all of the ups and downs in life, she would say, “Cheers, friends…. I will see you later.” And in the words of Winnie the Pooh, with special sentiment to Mel, “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.”
